Holdsambeck & Associates (Formerly IBIP) Currently employs
Behavior Analysts in Kern, San Luis Obispo, Fresno, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties.
Analysts work 15-40 hours per week providing behavior assessment and consultation services
to consumers in their natural environment. Analysts meet weekly for group and individual
supervision. Most of our consumers have disabilities like Autism, Down Syndrome, Mental
Retardation, or similar conditions. Most Behavior Analysts have Bachelors or Master
Degrees in Psychology or Special Education, though some are involved in doctoral training
programs. Relevant course work includes: Behavior Modification; Single Subject Research
Design; Developmental and Abnormal Psychology; Early Childhood Studies; Applied Behavior
Analysis; Experimental Analysis of Behavior; Computer Assisted Research; and Cultural
Diversity. Of course, the ability to speak Spanish, Tagalog or other languages is always
an asset.
Candidates interested in gaining additional information or locating recent conferences are
encouraged to visit the web sites for the Association
for Applied Behavior Analysis or the American
Psychological Association. Experience working with special populations is an obvious
requirement. Candidates interested in gaining experience are encourages to participate in Special Olympics; volunteer at VTC Enterprises, TCRC,
CVRC or other agencies involved in caring for persons
with developmental disabilities. Above any other qualifications, candidates for the job
must possess the relevant personal qualities to establish rapport, build hope, and
motivate learners of all ages.
